The event.

When is State of Social ’27 held?

24 & 25 August 2027 at Optus Stadium, Perth.

What is State of Social?

State of Social is a once-a-year opportunity to step back from the noise and get clear on what’s actually shaping the future of digital and social marketing. It brings together some of the sharpest thinkers in the industry to share what they’re seeing, testing, questioning, and doing differently right now.

Who is State of Social for?

Anyone working in digital, marketing or business who cares about online branding, marketing, storytelling, content creation and conversion.

Who is speaking at State of Social ’27?

Speakers are announced through the year as they are confirmed. Everyone confirmed so far is on the Speakers page, and past speakers show the standard.

Are there student or non-profit discounts?

10% off for students, educators and not-for-profit workers with a qualifying email address at checkout. If your address is not recognised, get in touch first and the team will sort it.

Do you offer group discounts?

Yes. Five or more All Access or General tickets on one order get 10% off, and eight or more get 15% off. It applies automatically at checkout, with no code and no email needed. Online tickets are not included. Discounts cannot be stacked or retroactively applied to previously purchased passes, so make sure you get the team organised before you buy.

Can I go to day one and send my colleague to day two?

No. Tickets are issued per delegate and provide access to specific days of the conference. One ticket equals one person for the full event. State of Social is designed as a two-day experience, with ideas, conversations and connections building across both days.

Can I bring a guest?

Nope. One ticket, one delegate. You’ll need to wear your lanyard and wristband at all times to gain access to State of Social sessions. If you need a companion ticket, get in touch.

Can I register without final attendee names?

Yes. You can register before finalising attendee names to secure current pricing. Attendee details can be updated later, with final names required by 1 August 2027.

How do I transfer a ticket to another employee?

Swap the name from the link in your ticket email, or get in touch, any time before 1 August 2027.

What payment options are available?

Payment is by card at the time of registration: Visa, MasterCard and American Express, with Apple Pay and Google Pay where your device offers them. Need an invoice before you can pay? Get in touch first.

What is the refund policy?

You never know what’s around the corner, so register with confidence: a full refund is available within seven days of purchase, up to 1 August 2027. Refunds are not offered after that, but you can send someone in your place. Get in touch to transfer.

I bought a General ticket when I should have bought an All Access ticket. Help?!

Get in touch. An invoice for the price difference follows, and your ticket is upgraded automatically once it is paid. Upgrades close on 1 August 2027.

Where’s my tax invoice?

Tax invoices are emailed automatically to the purchaser. If you can’t find yours, check your spam folder for the subject line TAX INVOICE. For another copy, get in touch.

How do I update my details?

Log in using the ticket link in your purchase confirmation email, or get in touch.

How do I convince my boss to buy my ticket?

There’s a page for that. Make the case has an email template you can send as is, plus the numbers your manager will ask for.

On the day.

Do I need to bring a printed ticket?

Not really. Your family name and photo ID are all the registration desk needs to issue your lanyard and wristband. And remember: once your wristband is on your wrist, leave it there. You’ll need it to access both days and replacements cannot be issued.

Are there any age restrictions?

No one under 18 years of age will be allowed in session rooms at any time.

I’m nursing. Can you help?

While children are not allowed at State of Social, there is a private lactation room for those who need to pump, with a refrigerator and sink.

Is there any food?

Yes, there’s food. And plenty of it. Expect gourmet eats, thoughtful snacks, and bottomless barista-brewed coffee thanks to Hunt And Brew. From a moreish morning bite to a generous buffet lunch and afternoon treats, you’ll be well fuelled across the day. And yes, there’s American candy too.

What about my dietary needs?

The Optus Stadium catering team handles all dietary needs. After you buy, one short form asks for them. To update your requirements, get in touch before 1 August 2027.

What is the dress code?

Business casual. The temperature in the River View Room at Optus Stadium is set for the majority, so if your personal thermostat runs hot or cold, it makes sense to have some layers to peel off or pile on. Not gonna lie, it’s often cold, so please plan ahead.

Is there a coat check?

There is no coat check or luggage storage available at Optus Stadium. Please look after your belongings at all times. State of Social is not responsible for any loss. If you are checking out of your hotel on the day, leave your luggage with the concierge before you head to the stadium.

What are your health and safety measures?

Please, do the right thing. If you’re not feeling well, stay at home, and everyone will say thank you for keeping your germs to yourself. If you can manage to send someone in your place, not a problem, have them head straight to the registration desk on arrival for guidance.

Is the venue accessible?

Optus Stadium caters for everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability. The aim of the stadium’s design isn’t simply to meet specific codes but rather to strive to exceed them as a minimum standard and create an inclusive venue for all visitors. Do you have a privacy policy and code of conduct?

Yes: the Privacy policy, the Code of conduct and the Terms and conditions.

Online and recordings.

Will you offer live streaming?

No, but you can still attend virtually. All Online and All Access ticket holders get access to recordings of every session within 48 hours of the event.

Will recordings be available?

Yes. Recordings of every session are available to everyone who purchases an Online ticket or an All Access ticket. You’ll have playback access for 12 months from the event, and the videos are made available within 48 hours of the event. The Online ticket has its own questions page.

Travel.

I am travelling from outside of Australia and need a visa. Can you help me?

Unfortunately, State of Social cannot provide visa advice. All people, except Australian and New Zealand passport holders, require a visa to enter Australia. Once you have purchased a ticket, get in touch if you need a letter of support.

Where should I stay?

Crown Perth is the accommodation partner, across the bridge from the stadium. Everything on flights, hotels and getting to the stadium is on one page: Plan your trip.

Can I apply for media accreditation?

Media passes are intended for editorial coverage only. Content creators, marketers, and brand representatives are not eligible for media accreditation, but are very welcome to attend with a purchased ticket. Due to limited availability, all media requests are assessed and approved at the organiser’s discretion. Get in touch for accreditation; the press kit is on the Media page.

Is there an official hashtag for State of Social?
